Creating a Visualforce Page to introduce Lightning Web Component..!

Lightning Web Components is the Salesforce implementation of that new breed of lightweight frameworks built on web standards. It leverages custom elements, templates, shadow DOM, decorators, modules, and other new language constructs available in ECMAScript 7 and beyond.

It is a new programming model for building Lightning components. It leverages the web standards discoveries of the previous five decades, may coexist and interoperate with the initial Aura programming version and also delivers exceptional performance. Lightning Web Components are custom elements built using HTML and modern JavaScript. Lightning Web Components take the Salesforce lightning platform one step closer to using web standards for UI development

As customers are the single most valuable asset of any organization, CRM helps to improve customer retention to a great extent. Customers provide invaluable feedback and serve as a facilitator for new concepts and ideas. For every business, customer satisfaction is a top priority task.

Lightning Web Components provides a layer of specialized Salesforce services on top of the core stack, including:

  • The Base Lightning Components, a set of over 70 UI components all built as custom elements.
  • The Lightning Data Service which provides declarative access to Salesforce data and metadata, data caching, and data synchronization.
  • The User Interface API , the underlying service that makes Base Lightning Components and the Lightning Data Service metadata aware, leading to substantial productivity gains.

There are three steps to add Aura components to a Visualforce page.

  1. Add the Lightning Components for Visualforce JavaScript library to your Visualforce page using the <apex:includeLightning/> component.
  2. Create and reference a Lightning app that declares your component dependencies.
  3. Write a JavaScript function that creates the component on the page using $Lightning.createComponent().
